CASA DRACULA Contest & Disco Agent Fox Mulder!

The mass market edition of Happy Hour at Casa Dracula is just now available at many bookstores! (The official release date is January 29.) Yesterday I received my copies of the book, and I'm going to be giving a few away. If you'd like to win a copy of this fabulous and funny novel, just leave a comment on this post and name your favorite supernatural or paranormal character, book, or show. It's that easy. I'll pick a winner at random on Friday evening.
Review of Cassandra Clare's City of Bones. "Clary soon realizes that she is gifted with the sight of otherworldly creatures because she is one herself (a Shadowhunter, to be exact)." (A True Reality)
Review of Ghosts and Roses by Kelley St. John. "I did like the ghost aspect of the story. The entire Vicknair family sees and speaks to these earth-bound spirits to help them overcome whatever it is holding them so they can cross over to where they belong." The Good, the Bad, the Unread)
Review of Bending to Break by A.J. Hampton. "...an erotic paranormal romance that starts out in high gear and continues the fast pace throughout the story." (Darque Reviews)
Freyashawk blogs about Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series. "Her own shaping of the vampire myth and its similarities to many other contemporary visions of the species renews my faith in Jung's theory of the 'collective unconscious'." (Freyashawk)
Review of the "The Mortal Cure," an episode of "Moonlight." " Lance (Jason Butler Harner), a vampire with one black eye, not only hails back to the time of French King Louis XVI, but is part of the same royal bloodline." (SyFi Portal)
Recap of "Moonlight: The Mortal Cure." "This installment was deemed highly anticipated by fans as it dealt with the aftermath of Josh's death, the mystery surrounding the vampire cure and the link to the French revolution." (Buddy TV)
If loving clips of Agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) set to really awful disco music is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Sounds like fun! My fave paranormal character is Wolverine from the X-Men comics. Does he count? If it has to be someone from a book, then I'd say Acheron from Kenyon's Dark-hunter series.
I've posted about this (and your other current giveaways) my book review and contest blog : A Book Blogger's Diary

Hope that's ok. Thanks!

Right Moonlight is at the top of my list! But Buffy the Vampire Slayer is always greatly missed.

I loved Happy Hour and would love to win it. :)

Hi, Blakeygirl, I've heard a lot about the BD Brotherhood and I'll have to check out the series.

Blackroze, I'd forgotten all about Quantum Leap -- how could I? I loved that series.

A Bookworm, no matter what the question is, Hugh Jackman is always a correct answer!

Anna, I keep trying to like "Moonlight." Sigh. I also miss "BVS."

Oh, yes, BlackRoze, the show you're thinking of was "Forever Knight," a vampire detective series set in Toronto, I think. I keep hoping to see it on DVD.

I for one have a hard time picking a favorite but if i had to pick a book series it would be Southern Vampire series aka( sookie stackhouse) by Charlaine Harris as far as a tv show there was one I really enjoyed that I have not seen in forever and that was Kindred the Embraced.

Oh, sorry, forgot...Not sure if it counts as paranormal, but HedonismBot from Futurama. He's so theatrical and fun; knows how to have a good time ;-)

Have a lovely day! :-)

Hi Marta,
Favorite character would be Batman from Batman Begins

Hello! Love your style. I have so many paranormal likes, but I will go with the "Ghost Whisperer's" Melinda!
Please put my name in your drawing! I appreciate it.....Cindi

Lucian from Underworld. My heart went out to him.

Hi, Tez, I've got to go through my spawn's Futurama dvds and look for that one. I thought it was a great cartoon and I loved the style of animation.

Welcome, WindyCindy. You're entered in the drawing. I'll have to see what's been happening on Ghost Whisperer lately.

Favorite(s) supernatural from books:

Henry Fitzroy (Tanya Huff's Blood series; Sukie Stackhouse (Harris's Southern Vampire series); Kitty Norville (Carrie Vaughn's Kitty Norville series); and Mercy Thompson from Patricia Briggs's fabulous Mercy Thompson series--I just love pretty much everything Briggs writes. There are others that I love while I'm reading them but I can't think of their names, so it must be a fickle love (or early onset Alzheimer's)

Favorite(s) supernatural from the tv:

Spike (BtVS and Angel); Doyle & Lorne (Angel); Summer (Firefly); Henry Fitzroy (Blood Ties); Michael Knight (FK); and if genetically-enhanced men count, Tyr Anasazi from Andromeda. (That guy was smokin' hot!)

Favorite(s) supernatural from movies:

Blade; Ginger and her sister, Brigitte from a Canadian werewolf movie, Ginger Snaps

Gotta go with Angel (of BtVS) as my favorite supernatural TV character. For books: Mercy from Patricia Briggs' Moon Called.

Tina, the vid on Vamp Wire today is for you! And Ginger Snaps is definitely a different take on the werewolf story -- love it from the teenage girl perspective.

Nathan, I thought Angel was a wonderful show, but I often liked the secondary characters as much as Angel -- like Lorne and Doyle. And David B.'s acting went from wooden (as he often was in Buffy) to quite good, especially in comic scenes.
