Review of Let the Right One In, by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
Read an excerpt from John Ajvide Lindqvist's international bestselling Let the Right One In, aka, Let Me In. "Oskar’s chest felt like it was about to burst. He knew the answer to the question. It hurt him not to say anything when he knew. He wanted the policeman to look at him. Look at him and tell him he was right. He knew it was a dumb thing to do, but he still put his hand up." (Macmillan)
I like this cover the best.

Review of The Death Chaser by Heather Graham. "After surviving a kidnapping at the cost of another life, Genevieve O’Brien has had enough horror. Now her worries are for her mother and the other Ravens of the Poe Society who appear to be in danger." (Darque Reviews)
Read an excerpt from Heather Graham's The Dead Room. "She continued to brush away the dirt from the skull fragment in the crevice, feeling a sense of jubilation. She couldn't be certain, of course, not absolutely, but it looked like they had discovered the old St. Mathias graveyard that Professor David Laymon had been certain was here." (Heather Graham)
Read an excerpt from Jennifer Rardin's Biting the Bullet, a Jaz Parks novel. "I also carried my usual array of backup weaponry. A syringe of holy water nested in the spring-loaded sheath I kept strapped around my right wrist." (Jennifer Rardin)
Review of Susan Hubbard's The Year of Disappearances. "Hubbard’s intriguing tale poses a tantalizing question: will humans or vampires ultimately inherit Earth?" (Publishers Weekly)
Read an excerpt from Susan Hubbard's The Year of Disappearances. "Someone is standing in my bedroom doorway, watching me sleep, then watching my eyes open. In the dim light I can't see who stands there, looking at me." (Simon Says)
Author Ersi Rose considers the differences between elves and vampires. "Vampires have pointy teeth. Elves have pointy ears." (Colleen Gleason)
TELEVISION
Alex O'Loughlin, star of "Moonlight," speaks out for American Red Cross. "‘Moonlight’ fans are incredibly generous to not just support our show, but to support a noble and life-saving cause. Who knew that a vampire's taste for blood could do so much good." (Read Media)
Jason Dohring's role to get bigger on "Moonlight." "Gradually however, Dohring's airtime has improved towards the recent installments, especially with the episode 'Sleeping Beauty,' where his character reveals a secret he has kept for more than 40 years." (Buddy TV)
Episodes of "Moonlight" are available online. "It's elegantly written, for one, gracefully advancing Mick and Beth's story in each episode -- it never stops to tread water.
FILMView photos from "Let the Right One In," a Swedish film which is finally coming to the U.S. "Directed by Tomas Alfredson, the film tells of a lonely 12-year-old Oskar who befriends a new neighbor, a mysterious young girl whose arrival coincides with a series of gruesome deaths and attacks." The book and the movie are sometimes being marketed by the title "Let Me In."
Read the description of from the Tribeca Film Festival. "As much coming-of-age story as vampire tale, Let the Right One In is anomalously both elliptical and tender and does its unsettling work quietly. Twelve-year-old Oskar lives in a drab village outside Stockholm, where by day he's the victim of relentless bullying, and by night he dreams of revenge."

Tez mentioned Let Me In a while back and I thought it was interesting. The movie looks really intriging. I may have to read this one.
I can't wait for the new Moonlight episodes!!! Next Friday I'm going to be glued to the TV set. *wg*
Lucky Tez to have seen it already! The book is a huge hit all over Europe and the movie's supposed to be really good, too.
Tempest, I'm going to keep trying to watch "Moonlight." Good news that Jason Dohring's role will be more signifigant, because he's my fave character so far.
"Let Me In" was a very good novel. The movie looks like it accurately captures the tone of the book.
Thanks, Derek! I'm surprised that we hadn't heard more about this novel in the U.S. since it has gotten such a great response elsewhere. I'll see if I can find reviews and post them.
John Ajvide Lindqvist is amazing! I really hope that EVERYONE who is interested in vampires and other creatures of the night will love his books!
I can't wait until the movie "Låt den rätte komma in" (Swedish: "Let the Right One In") is released!
