I don't know about you, but I love free books. I'm always excited when the Post Office person tosses a big manila envelope over the gate. (I have to keep an eye out because Betty von Snoggle will occasionally chew up packages.) Here are a few contests for new books and ARCs.
Adult Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy
Goodreads has a contest for a signed ARC of Darker After Midnight (Midnight Breeds #10) by Lara Adrian.
Goodreads also has a contest for an ARC of Alpha Instinct, the first book in the Katie Reus' Moonshifter series. Here's the summary:
Ana Cordona has been a strong leader for the lupine shifters who survived after all the males and most of the females in her pack were mysteriously poisoned. As tough as she is, with no Alpha male, the pack is vulnerable to the devious shifter Taggart, who wants to claim both their ranch and Ana as his own. When Connor Armstrong comes back into her life, promising protection, it’s almost enough to make Ana forget how he walked out on her before—and reluctantly accept his offer to mate.
The minute Connor sees Ana again, it reawakens a raw hunger. He must have her for his bondmate—his wolf cries out for it. But his human side knows he must proceed with caution because of their complicated past.
Abigail at All Things Urban Fantasy has a contest for The Way We Fall by Megan Crewe, and this book is way at the top of my wish list.
When a deadly virus begins to sweep through sixteen-year-old Kaelyn’s community, the government quarantines her island—no one can leave, and no one can come back.Books By Their Cover is giving away a copy of Cinder, a steampunk retelling of Cinderella, by Melissa Meyer.
Those still healthy must fight for dwindling supplies, or lose all chance of survival. As everything familiar comes crashing down, Kaelyn joins forces with a former rival and discovers a new love in the midst of heartbreak. When the virus starts to rob her of friends and family, she clings to the belief that there must be a way to save the people she holds dearest.
Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She's a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister's illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai's, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. The Book Cellar also has a contest for Cinder and a Q&A with author Melissa Meyer, and Doug Knipe is giving away the Cinder audiobook at SciFi Guy.
YA Bookshelf has a contest for Tempest by Julie Cross.
The year is 2009. Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy... he's in college, has a girlfriend... and he can travel back through time. But it's not like the movies - nothing changes in the present after his jumps, there's no space-time continuum issues or broken flux capacitors - it's just harmless fun. That is... until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he's stuck in 2007 and can't get back to the future...You know, I hadn't been won over by the cover (assumed it was an angel book), but now that I know it's about time-travel, I want to read it.

Emma and her friend Chloe are spending vacation in Florida. When Emma (literally) runs into a hot guy named Galen on the beach, little does she know he’s a prince of the Syrena. Galen and Emma both feel something strange – is it attraction? – and Galen suspects that Emma might well be the girl he’s heard of – a human who can communicate with fish. What follows is a deadly scene with a shark in which Galen witnesses Emma’s gifts.Okay, song lyrics from The Little Mermaid are now stuck in my head, which is not such a bad thing.

Thanks for the giveaway mention. I'd love to get my hands on the Lara Adrian arc. She was among the first authors I read when I discovered UF/paranormal.
Hi, Doug, go enter at Goodreads. Are you on there already? It's an amazing site.
