Erractic Blogging and Back in Black

As you may or may not have noticed, I haven't been blogging regularly. I'm getting swamped with Q&A's for my upcoming Dark Companion blog tour. I'm still working on my audiobooks for the Casa Dracula series, and I wanted to share the rough cover art of Midnight Brunch (book 2) Finally we get to see Milagro the flirty sexy way I see her.

I'll post the final cover art for the books when the illustrator, the patient and talented Christian Nacorda, is finished with them.

I wanted to post covers and summaries of upcoming books, but Blogger isn't letting me, so here are a few contests you can enter.

Reign of Blood by Alexia Purdy
Goodreads is giving away 3 signed copies in the US

In a post-apocalyptic world, a viral epidemic has wiped out most of the earth’s population, leaving behind few humans but untold numbers of mutated vampires. April is a seventeen-year-old girl who lives in the remains of Las Vegas one year after the outbreak. She has become a ferocious vampire killer and after her family is abducted, she goes searching for them. What she finds is a new breed of vampire, unlike any she has seen before. Unsure of whom she can trust, she discovers that her view of the world is not as black and white as she once thought, and she's willing to bend the rules to rescue her family.

ReVamped by Ada Adams
Goodreads is giving away 2 copies.

Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue. When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

Roxanne Rhoads is hosting a huge giveaway at Fang-Tastic Books for C.J. Ellisson's VV Inn series -- lots of ebook prizes, signed sets of the books, and more!   You can also read an excerpt of her upcoming book, The Big Game.

Suzanne Johnson has a Q&A with Mike Shevon and a giveaway for a signed ARC of Strangeness & Charm at Preternatura. Suzanne writes:

I love this series because I find the fey so fascinating. Like elves (except maybe even more so), the fey are not so entrenched into a mythos that one can’t play around with them, and they are often both good and evil at the same time. So the Feyre world Mike creates in his series is rich and complex and engrossing. His main character, Niall, is a guy we can all pull for, driven by the need to protect his family (well, and sometimes, just to survive).

GRATUITOUS VIDEOS OF THE DAY

Hey there, Marta--I have been following your Vampire Wire site for quite awhile even before you changed the format ( because you had problems with site and had to reboot up again) I have you on my Yahoo page so I can follow along whenever the mood strikes you to blog. I have all your books with the exception of Dark Companion (has it been released for purchase must put on my tbp list) But a signed edition would be nice. Love your videos. My favorite female characters are the Team of Rizzoli and Islis from both the books and now the second season starting 6/5/12 on TNT. Not too late to set DVR to record. Also thanks for all the references to other author sites helps to see other worlds of thought
