First, I wanted to share the fab news that Dark Companion, my YA gothic, is already in its third print-run! I'm quite thrilled about that, although I'm not one of those people who pumps fists, or throws arms up, or does that grip-and-pull-down gesture, or screams with happiness, or dances around, or anything like that. I see actors on TV playing authors and they always do that stuff. Which is not to say that I don't ever dance around in circles: I do frequently with my dog Betty von Snoggles, but then Bosco gets jealous, and teeth become part of the equation. Lots of teeth. Big teeth.
Dog trainer Cesar Milan, who is my second-favorite Mexican in the world (my mom is the first), says "Excitement is not happiness," and I absolutely agree with him when excitement involves gnashing teeth. New books are happiness and here are some upcoming urban fantasy titles. Rob Thurman is venturing out from her urban fantasy Cal Leandros series with All Seeing Eye, a shivery novel that's more supernatural suspense. I love supernatural suspense and I'm going to blog soon about how we categorize books and sometimes miss books we'd like because they're called one thing (i.e., supernatural) and not another (i.e., paranormal).
Enjoy -- but not if it involves giant teeth gnashing.
GRATUITIOUS VIDEOS OF THE DAY
If I go with blue as a theme, all I'll get are videos set to "Behind Blue Eyes." I'll just go with colors -- any song with any color in the title.

Congrats on the third print run of DARK COMPANION! That's fantastic news that definitely deserves a fist pump :-)
Love the blue covers (blue is my favorite color). Really loving the Carrie Vaughn cover. I met her last summer. She's really cool.
Agh, it's hard to pick a favorite because I like all of them...but Kelly Gay's might win out for me.
