Where I'm At & DARK COMPANION Book Trailer!!!

Here's where I'm at:

Visiting fab Anna Vivian at Anna's Book Blog. I always think of Anna as a serious, trustworthy reviewer and blogger. She never has pyrotechnics or gimmicks. She just quietly goes along reading books and writing about them. Other book blogs come and go, but Anna's beautifully organized site endures, and I quite admire that. The number of books she's reviewed is astonishing and I'm pleased that mine are included among them. She called Dark Companion "mysterious and compelling.  An exciting story that is beautifully dark."

If you love paranormal and urban fantasy, you should be following her.

E.J. Stevens, author of the Spirit Guide series, interviews me and has a contest for Dark Companion at From the Shadows! She asks what brought me to the paranormal genre and I tell her:
Paranormal poses the question, "What if...?, and I especially like stories where a character's notion of reality is challenged. Right now, there's such an amazing range of paranormal fiction, including dystopians, horror, romances, action thrillers, mysteries, and comedies. One of the things I like best about paranormal is that I can place a character in a situation where she can't take the normal paths to safety, i.e., going to the police, but must use her own resources to save herself.
Be sure to check out E.J.'s right sidebar for her list of upcoming author features and giveaways. You can learn more about her books here. Second Sight, the debut novel in her Ivy Granger, Psychic Detective series, will be released on July 24 and she's got a contest for an ARC!

Reminder: Danny at Bewitched Bookworms has a fun Q&A with me along with her review. This isn't your typical "I loved your book and you're a genius!" feature, so there's a more interesting "How/Why could you do that!" dynamic. Please stop by and join in the melee.

DARK COMPANION TRAILER!!!

I will share something with you. For the majority of my life, I never ever used exclamation marks. I felt that they were unnecessary and gauche. I sneered at those who unnecessarily exclaimed! However, at some point, I relented and allowed myself to use one to show enthusiasm about something or other. That's how it always starts, doesn't it?

Punctuation abuse, my friends, seems like an innocent lark at first and quickly spirals out of control. Which is to say, that now I have to use THREE EXCLAMATION MARKS to show the extent of my delight with the new book trailer for Dark Companion. I hope you will enjoy it and share it with others. Hi, Danny! Thanks -- I was going through stock photos and I couldn't find anything I liked and then I thought of Christian's work. Yep, the Radcliffe boys look great, and I love the other images of girls in a group and the spooky trees, too!
