So my book tour with fellow Tor Teen authors Kendare Blake and Lisa DeRorches was a whirlwind of going from one city to the next, meeting wonderful readers, writers, booksellers, librarians, and bloggers. On the first day in Los Angeles, we were polite and formal. By the ninth day, back in California for an event at Kepler's, we were exhausted, loopy, and laughing all the time.
Benji, the delightful young dude who blogs at The Non Reluctant Reader, hosted a dinner for us the night we went to Third Place Books in Seattle (an amazing bookstore), and he asked me if it was odd traveling with people I'd never met before. I told him the truth: "I like Lisa and Kendare more every day!" All three of us made the bestseller list in St. Louis!
I returned to an urgent deadline for one of my editors, and I hope to be able to announce my new projects soon. Lots of stuff going on for me, including completing my Casa Dracula audiobooks using Audible's new ACX (Audio Creation Exchange) program! The final book in the series, Haunted Honeymoon, is now being prepped for sale. I guest blog about my terrific experience today at ACX's site. I mention zombies. A few times.
You can also read an interview with me at Reading Away the Days.
I'll be announcing some giveaways of swag, books, and audiobooks soon, so be patient as I get back up to speed. I have interviews planned and other features.
