First, I'm a guest over at Jean BookNerd, where I say really insightful things about Dark Companion (and there's a contest for Dark Companion and book swag) and I talk about my problems with the police, who keep stopping by to ask me about a certain missing person. I so did not bury anyone out in the fields where I take my walks!
Jean also reviews my young adult gothic and says:
Marta’s writing style is elegantly beautiful and provides clear descriptions of the story’s compelling mysterious plot. Dark, scary, and creepy yet wonderfully intriguing. Dark Companion is poignant and will linger long after it is read. The day is dazzling and hot -- typical of late October weather here, which waits until kids are in school to have summers. Yesterday I tried to post bright new covers, but my post vanished. Hokay, I'll try again with bluish/blackish/darkish covers. Per usual, I got the cover graphics from the fantastic Fantastic Fiction site, where you can go to find out more about these books. They also have author info, bibliographies, links to all sorts of great stuff. I especially like that I can look up books there based on genre and ranked by popularity, release date, or author name. Enjoy!
GRATUITOUS VIDEOS OF THE DAY
We are going with the blue/black/dark theme, natch!
A few curses in here so don't blast it at work.
