Contest Added & Gothic Madness & Go Giants!

Go Giants! Just how timely is it for the San Francisco Giants to win the World Series, and their classic orange and black team colors are also the colors for Halloween? Very timely. The fireworks were booming last night with the win, and their victory parade will be on Halloween in San Francisco. I predict mayhem and shenanigans.

Some years ago, a few friends may have taken an illegal and hallucinogenic substance and were wandering around the city during a game. People kept talking about the Giants and, because of their altered state, my friends believed there actually were giants and kept looking for them. This is a cautionary tale: never take illegal and hallucinogenic substances during sports playoffs if you don't want to see your world overrun by vikings, raiders, sharks, and tigers. Would saints and cowboys have a chance against them? Hmm, that sounds like the plot for a recent movie.

cutest land shark evah!
CONTEST: Last week, I featured my pal Kristina Meister guest blogging about her debut urban fantasy novel, Craving, and she's very kindly offered an ebook of the book for a contest. Here are the contest rules: just leave a comment for Kristina or a comment about a sports team name related to fantasy somehow. For example, I'd like to see Vikings coming out of a time warp and landing on our shores. Or...Land Sharks?

The contest runs through November 8 and is worldwide.

It's definitely the cutest shark ever, you are right, Marta! :) Kristina's book sounded really good when I've read the synopsis plus I really liked the book cover as well!

Hi, Kara! I love that costume. Kristina's publisher gave her book a new cover, and I think it hints at the story within. There's also something a little ominous about the way the model is staring out that works for the story.
